Wind Market South America: Nordex Secures Order From Brazil

Hamburg, Germany - Nordex reports a wind farm order from Brazil. The wind turbine manufacturer and RENIXX Group will be supplying sixteen N163/5.X turbines for the 94.4 MW "Eol Toda Energia 2" wind farm.

The client is Toda Energia do Brasil, a subsidiary of Toda Corporation, a Japanese company engaged in a wide range of business activities, including renewable energy.

The site of the planned wind farm is located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, near the city of Pedro Avelino in the northeast of Brasil. Construction work is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2024. Nordex will install the turbines on 120-metre concrete towers to be produced at the local Nordex plant in Lajes in Rio Grande do Norte.

Nordex stock, which has risen sharply since its low for the year in mid-October, is initially unable to benefit from the news in today's trading. Around midday, the stock is trading down by 2.2 percent at EUR 12.24 (12:30 p.m., 13.12.2022, Stuttgart stock exchange). Compared with the price at the turn of the year, Nordex stock is currently down by around 12 percent.
