Nordex receives contract for 50 MW wind farm in Uruguay

Hamburg - Nordex has received a contract for the construction of a wind farm in Uruguay. Enel Green Power (EGP) from Italy is apparently purchaser for this 8 million US dollar project.

The wind farm called Melowind is located in the Cerro Largo area, about 320 kilometres from the capital, Montevideo. Once fully operational, 20 N100/2500 turbines will be generating 200,000 MWh of clean electricity a year. The customer is a subsidiary of one of Italy
