New Wind Farms: Vestas Receives Order from Vietnam - Management Changes

Randers, Denmark - Vestas has secured a further order for two wind farm projects in Vietnam. According to the Danish wind turbine manufacturer, the order is for turbines with a capacity of 64 MW to be erected in a complex mountainous terrain in Quang Tri province.

Vestas will supply, transport, install and commission a total of 16 V150-4.2 MW wind turbines, which will be delivered in 4.0 MW operating mode. It is planned that the projects will be commissioned at the end of the second quarter of 2021. With this new order, Vestas has already signed contracts for more than 160 MW of wind power capacity in Vietnam in 2020.

The two projects are owned by local project companies, the Huong Tan Wind Power Joint Stock Company and the Tan Linh Wind Power Joint Stock Company.

Vestas also announced a change in the Board of Directors. Peter Lindholst has stepped down as employee representative of the Board of Directors of Vestas Wind Systems A/S. The new employee representative is Pia Kirk Jensen.
