French Energiequelle-Wind Farm La Chapelle-Glain Successfully Commissioned

La Chapelle-Glain, France - In September, the French wind farm La Chapelle-Glain in the Pays de la Loire region of the Loire-Atlantique department was successfully commissioned.

The Energiequelle subsidiary P&T Technologie developed and built the wind farm, which comprises five Enercon E-92 turbines with a total capacity of 11.75 MW. P&T Technologie received the building permit for the project back in September 2016, but initially had to undergo an extensive legal action. Following the positive conclusion, construction began in September 2019.

The last turbine was installed in June 2020 after a four-week construction stop in the wake of the Corona pandemic. "In compliance with health regulations and the new safety requirements, the installation of the wind farm was completed on time in September," says Christophe Biger, Construction Manager at P&T Technologie.

The remuneration is based on a fixed feed-in tariff over a period of 20 years. The park was acquired by Encavis Infrastructure Fund II, which is advised by Encavis Asset Management AG. The contract was signed in October. Encavis Asset Management AG offers institutional investors tailor-made portfolios and investment solutions in the field of renewable energies.

With the commissioning of the La Chapelle-Glain wind farm, P&T Technologie's operational management portfolio grows to 23 wind farms with a total output of 230 MW. In total, the Energiequelle Group has built more than 750 turbines with an output of over 1,400 MW. In France alone, a further 73 MW is to be added in the coming years, including a PV project.
