Notus Energy Commissions Most modern Vestas Wind Turbines in Germany

Potsdam, Germany - Potsdam-based Notus Energy this week commissioned two Vestas V150 wind turbines, each with 5.6 MW, in norther Brandenburg. The two turbines form a consolidation of the existing Beesenberg wind farm.

The independent power producer, which has been cooperating with Vestas for a long time, is thus the first operator in Germany to use the new turbine type of the Danish wind energy heavyweight, according to its own information.

The agricultural landscape north of Prenzlau offers excellent wind conditions. " We achieve similarly high electricity yields here as on the Baltic Sea coast," says Notus Energy Managing Director Heiner Röger. The two wind turbines are expected to provide significantly more electricity than the 10,000 private households in the nearby district town Prenzlau consume, whose electricity demand is 21 million kWh per year according to the municipal utility.
