Competence Centers And Multi-brand Approach: Deutsche Windtechnik Subsidiary Successful In Sweden

Bremen, Germany / Varberg, Sweden - Five years after its foundation and strong growth, Deutsche Windtechnik AB, the Swedish subsidiary of Bremen-based Deutsche Windtechnik, boasts a positive résumé.

From the company's point of view, key elements of the successful development are the competence centers run by Europe's largest independent service provider and the multi-brand approach. The Swedish subsidiary now has maintenance contracts for 300 wind turbines, provides services for five manufacturer technologies and has 36 employees. The wind farms are serviced from a service infrastructure with eight service locations.

From Deutsche Windtechnik's point of view, the growing demand for renewable energy has had a major impact on the established service structures of the wind industry, which have long been dominated by large manufacturers. The market entry of Deutsche Windtechnik, the first true independent service provider in the Scandinavian region, has created a competitive situation since 2016, forcing all providers to offer attractive contracts in terms of cost, quality and service portfolio, according to the wind service provider.

In this context, Deutsche Windtechnik's multi-brand technology experience in particular creates highly specialized solutions for wind turbine maintenance and repair. "Our main advantage is that we work closely with our experienced technical competence centers within the company", Sturesson emphasizes.

Deutsche Windtechnik AG offers a single-source full technical maintenance package for wind turbines in Europe, the USA and Taiwan. The company operates both onshore and offshore. More than 7,000 wind turbines are serviced worldwide, by over 2,000 employees, under permanent maintenance contracts (basic and full maintenance). The company’s system engineering focuses on Vestas, Siemens, Nordex, Senvion, Fuhrländer, Gamesa, Enercon and GE turbines.
