Growth And Expansion Strategy: Enertrag Operation Is On Track In France

Neuville, Amiens / France - Enertrag's subsidiary Enertrag Operation, which is specialized in operations management, has given a positive interim assessment of the company's development in France.

In 2021, Enertrag Operation opened a control center to monitor wind farms in Amiens, France, north of Paris, as part of its growth and expansion strategy. Previously, the French parks were supervised from Germany. But the new structure offers numerous advantages, including shorter travel times for technicians, more focused on-site support for wind farms, and a more fluid and transparent information chain in the local language, Enertrag Operation said. "With our inspection teams located in France, we can respond more quickly to customer require-ments and find the appropriate solutions", explains Michael Dahm, Managing Director of Enertrag Operation.

The Enertrag Operation site is strategically located in the Haut-de-France region, where the company supervises most of its parks, and allows its 12 technicians and operations managers to monitor operations remotely. The serviced machines are all equipped with Enertrag's proprietary Powersystem® operations management software, which the supervisors to track live plant parameters. The teams on site also take care of the inspection of the wind turbines and compliance with maintenance intervals and are the direct contacts for customers and manufacturers.

In total, around 200 wind turbines are currently monitored from the remote monitoring center in Amiens. In 2021, Enertrag employees in France carried out around 460 inspections - almost half of them using drone technology. The ISO 9001 certification for Enertrag Operation, which also applies to France, attests to the quality of the services offered.

In the future, Enertrag Operation will continue to focus on growth in France in the wind energy sector. In addition, photovoltaic and hydrogen services are also to form part of the energy service provider's portfolio in the midterm.
