Portfolio Expansion: Q-Energy Acquires Bramstedt Wind Farm For Repowering

Berlin, Germany - Q-Energy Deutschland GmbH continues its growth course with the acquisition of the Bramstedt wind farm. The site of the 6 turbines of type Fuhrländer MD / 77 is located near Bremen.

The turbines have been on the grid since 2007 and were owned by the fund advised by Goodyields Capital GmbH, Renewable Infrastructure Funds II S.C.S..

Now the park is to be repowered. Where there are currently 6 turbines with a total rated output of 9 megawatts (MW), in the future only three turbines with a capacity of 18 MW will produce about twice as much electricity from wind power.

Q-Energy provides investment and asset management services and manages renewable projects with a capacity of more than 1,600 MW. The portfolio consists of photovoltaic plants with a capacity of 1,000 MW, solar thermal power plants (CSP) with 243 MW, wind farms with a capacity of 325 MW and battery storage facilities at locations in Germany, Spain, the UK, Poland and Italy. Q-Energy also has a project pipeline of more than 8,000 MW in various stages of development. Since 2018, Q-Energy has acquired over 40 wind farms in Germany and invested more than 290 million euros.
