Subsidiary In Poznan: Energiequelle Enters Polish Solar And Wind Market

Poznan, Poland / Kallinchen, Germany - Energiequelle GmbH has entered the Polish solar and wind energy market and opened the company's 20th subsidiary in Poznan.

Initially, the managing director of the Polish branch, Arkadius Sliwka, will take up his work. In the course of 2022, another five employees are to be hired for project acquisition and implementation. More than 30 projects with a total capacity of more than 1,000 MW are already under consideration. Energiequelle is close to signing contracts with some cooperation partners, the company said.

Energiequelle's primary strategic goal is the expansion of solar energy, but offers in the wind sector are also to be examined in parallel. In addition to the takeover of projects, the company will also focus on its own project development in the long term.

Managing Director Sliwka observes large increases in renewable energy in Poland and is convinced that this trend will continue in the future: "We estimate that the potential of onshore wind power will exceed a total of 20 GW of installed capacity by 2030 due to the liberalisation of the 10H distance rule."

Poland is the fourth European country in which Energiequelle GmbH has its own subsidiary, along with Germany, France and Finland. In total, Energiequelle employs more than 350 people and has connected more than 1,500 MW to the grid to date.
