Orders Drive Nordex Stock: Nordex Group Secures a Further 363 MW in The Mediterranean Region

Hamburg, Germany - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex reports further orders for several wind farms in the Mediterranean region with a total capacity of 363 megawatts (MW) at the end of the second quarter of 2023. The share price climbs.

In Spain, the Nordex Group will supply wind turbines with a total capacity of 149 MW for two wind farms. Construction is scheduled to start in the spring and summer of 2024.

After entering the Serbian market with an order for 105 MW in 2022, Nordex has now received another major order for a 95 MW wind farm in the region. Installation of the Delta4000 turbines is scheduled to begin in 2024.

Completing the successful order intake from the Mediterranean markets for Nordex are additional orders in France, Italy and Portugal with a total capacity of around 119 MW.

"We continue to see high demand in several markets within Europe. We are very pleased to further strengthen our already excellent position in this important region", commented Patxi Landa, Chief Sales Officer of the Nordex Group, on the latest orders.

To date, Nordex has installed wind turbines with a capacity of more than 43,000 MW (43 GW) in over 40 markets. The RENIXX Group currently employs more than 9,000 people. The manufacturing network includes plants in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the USA, India and Mexico. The product range focuses on onshore turbines primarily in the 4 to 6.X MW class.

The Nordex share price climbed this morning following the announcement of the orders. Currently, the stock is up 3.6 percent at a price of EUR 11.845 (10.45 a.m., July 11, 2023, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
