Dr. Florian Zickfeld Heads: Telis Energy Launches Subsidiary in Germany

Berlin, Germany - The UK-based Telis Energy Group, a pan-European renewable energy development platform, is launching a subsidiary in Germany. Telis Energy Deutschland GmbH will focus on the identification and development of solar and onshore wind power plants.

The aim is to build a pipeline of 3 GW (3,000 MW) in Germany in the areas of photovoltaics and wind energy (onshore).

With the establishment of Telis Energie Deutschland, Telis now has an important foothold in Europe's largest market for renewable energies, the company announced. Telis was able to recruit Dr. Florian Zickfeld as Managing Director of the German subsidiary.

Florian Zickfeld was most recently Head of Business Development at Engie Deutschland Erneuerbare, the subsidiary of the French utility Engie. Prior to this, he sold Enercon wind turbines in South America and developed solar projects in North Africa. Zickfeld holds a doctorate in mathematics from TU Berlin and began his career at the Boston Consulting Group.

Telis is backed by global investment manager Carlyle and aims to have a 10 GW renewable energy pipeline by 2030, developed through subsidiaries in key European markets.

Adrien Pinsard, CEO of Telis Energy Group, says: "With our market entry in Germany we are now present in Europe's top four economies, ensuring we are well positioned to target a 10 GW pipeline of renewables by 2030. Partnering with Florian underlines our established approach of joining forces with impressive local entrepreneurs in each market, to capitalize on the growing demand for renewable solutions in Germany."
