Frankfurt am Main, Germany - Frankfurt-based advisory firm Capcora has a new Director Energy & Infrastructure in Frankfurt. Dr. Sebastian Rothe joined the Capcora team in September 2024.

With the arrival of Rothe, Capcora is further expanding its M&A expertise and can offer its clients even more targeted advice in the rapidly changing energy sector.

Rothe brings over 15 years of diverse experience in M&A, strategy and business development, mainly in the energy sector. Before joining Capcora, he headed the energy and environmental business of TÜV Rheinland in Germany. In his area of responsibility, he developed technical M&A advisory services for wind energy and supported financial investors, IPPs and utilities in complex wind farm transactions. In addition, he was involved in M&A acquisitions of companies and was responsible for the successful post-merger integration of a new site. During his time as a management consultant at PwC and BET, Rothe also built up his expertise in the valuation and transactions of renewable energy generation plants and energy supply companies, according to Capcora.

“We’re excited to have Sebastian join us. His deep expertise in renewable energy will be invaluable as we continue to grow and take on new challenges in the industry,” said Jochen Magerfleisch, Managing Partner at Capcora, welcoming Rothe's arrival.

“ I am thrilled to be part of Capcora, a firm that’s at the forefront of advising on Europe’s energy transition. I am eager to work with a team that is not only skilled but incredibly diverse, spread across Europe with members from over 15 different nationalities", says Rothe, looking forward to his new position.
