Vestas Wind Turbines: Encavis Acquires Wind Parks From Enertrag And Expands Wind Park Portfolio

Dauerthal, Germany - The wind and solar park operator Encavis AG has acquired two wind parks under construction in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt from Enertrag SE.

The Bonnhagen wind farm with a capacity of 24 MW in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is located 30 kilometers west of Wismar and has been under construction since July 2024. Grid connection is planned for September 2025.

The Roitzsch wind farm with a capacity of 12 MW is located 40 kilometers northwest of Leipzig (Saxony-Anhalt) and has been under construction since April 2024. It is expected to be connected to the electricity grid as early as March 2025.

Together, the two wind farms will generate around 110 million kWh of wind power per year. The wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6 MW, will be supplied by Vestas (type V162).

Dr. Gunar Hering, CEO of Enertrag: “In Encavis, we have found an experienced partner for the Bonnhagen and Roitzsch wind projects that shares our vision of a sustainable and secure energy supply. Encavis’ long-term orientation and operational experience perfectly complement ENERTRAG's values and goals, enabling us to jointly advance the energy transition.”
