Electricity For Around 5,000 Households: Energiequelle Commissions The Company's 808th Wind Turbine in Brandenburg

Ludwigsfelde, Germany - Energiequelle GmbH has commissioned the company's 808th wind turbine in Ludwigsfelde in the Brandenburg district of Teltow-Fläming. The Enercon E-138 turbine has a capacity of 4.2 MW and a hub height of 160 m and was erected on a landfill site.

Following a rejected appeal and legal action, construction of the turbine began in February 2024 and it has now successfully fed its first kilowatt hours into the grid. In future, the wind turbine is expected to produce enough electricity to cover the calculated annual needs of around 5,000 households.

“The commissioning of the new wind turbine is a significant milestone. The successful realisation shows the determination and commitment of everyone involved,” commented Energiequelle project manager Erik Klaus on the commissioning.
