Meißen (renewablepress) - UKA has become a top tier German wind onshore developer. In terms of successful tender bids in megawatts, the Group ranked among the top three in the first half of 2022 - as in the full years of 2020 and 2021. 451 megawatts were awarded to UKA in this period. 119 of these are attributable to the 2022 bidding rounds to date.

To be able to commission its successfully developed projects, UKA has recently extended its framework agreement with the Nordex Group. The cooperation currently covers a volume of 80 wind turbines, which equates to an output of around 500 megawatts.

Well established

For the first time in three years, more than 700 UKA employees from Germany, Spain, the USA and Chile came together and exchanged ideas in person at the "2nd UKA Forum". The three days at the "bcc Berlin" ran under the motto "one UKA", which stands for the uniting of our rapidly growing company and our common goal alignment.

UKA is well established throughout Germany. With four main branches in the north, south, east and west of the country and moving forward into the future, UKA will further expand its local presence and strengthen its proximity to its customers by opening further regional offices and operating facilities. This will also allow the energy park developer UKA to deepen its local partnerships with municipal utilities, industrial companies, communities, and farms and agribusinesses.

Project pipeline of 12 gigawatts

With the development of solar parks, UKA has opened up a further segment of renewable energy. The latest implementation success was the recent commissioning of a solar park in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony.

UKA intends to further expand its market position in the coming years. The groundwork for this has already begun. In Germany, for example, UKA has wind onshore projects with a capacity of around 1.2 gigawatts currently in the approval process. In most recent years UKA has also grown strongly internationally. The UKA Group's current international project pipeline for wind and solar projects now exceeds twelve gigawatts.
