Internationally Successful: VSB Scores On French Wind Energy Market

Nîmes, France / Dresden, Germany - Growth through partnerships and acquisitions is a central strategic pillar of the Dresden-based VSB Group, so also for VSB Énergies Nouvelles in France.

With the acquisition of a project portfolio with a capacity of more than 140 megawatts (MW) the French subsidiary of the VSB Group pushes its goal to establish itself as one of the five largest independent French producers for renewable energies. Along with Germany and Poland, France is one of the core markets of the VSB Group.

VSB grows in France: Portfolio of 143.5 MW wind energy acquired

VSB Énergies Nouvelles, the French subsidiary of the VSB Group, takes over nine wind energy projects from its cooperation partners ADE and 3N Développement. The partner companies will manage the projects until they are ready for construction. As part of the takeover by VSB, ADE and 3N Développement have assigned all rights and obligations arising from the lease agreements, the user agreements and the decisions of the authorities in connection with the projects. VSB will monitor the various development phases of the projects until they are ready for construction.

In total, in the nine wind energy projects it is planned to erect 37 wind turbines with a capacity of 143.5 MW. The wind farms are located in the departments of Allier, Creuse, Isère, Oise, Pas-de-Calais and Puy de Dôme.

The collaboration with ADE and 3N Développement marks the beginning of a long-term partnership that bundles competencies to drive the energy transition in France in addition to the company's growth trajectory, VSB said.
