Enercon Wind Turbines: Start Of Construction For Belle Wind Farm

Kallinchen, Germany - Energiequelle GmbH, project developer and operator of renewable energy plants, has announced the start of construction for the Belle wind farm.

Six Enercon E-147 turbines are to be built in the Lippe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, each with a capacity of 5 MW and a hub height of 155 meters.

Extensive measures are to be taken to protect large birds and birds of prey. Energiequelle GmbH has developed its own app, EQ Smart Stop, for this purpose. With the help of this app, the targeted shutdown of wind turbines can be controlled during and after mowing and ploughing operations in wind farms, as these operations attract large and raptor birds when they are foraging.

The commissioning of the Belle wind farm is scheduled for March 2023.

In 2022, Energiequelle plans to commission a total of 30 wind turbines, a photovoltaic system and two substations in Germany, France and Finland. In addition, approvals are expected for plants with a capacity of over 280 MW.
