Renewable Energy Expert on Board: José Joaquín Muñoz Osuna Becomes New Director And Team Leader of Capcora in Hamburg

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - The advisory firm Capcora has appointed renewable energy expert José Joaquín Muñoz Osuna as new Director and Head of the team in Hamburg as of November 2023.

With more than 20 years of market experience, Muñoz Osuna will strengthen the company's debt and M&A advisory team in the energy transition sector. He will significantly boost Capcora's activities in the Iberian markets and in the PPA area with the expertise he brings from well-known international players.

After graduating in Economics and Actuarial Mathematics at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Muñoz Osuna started his career in project and structured finance at Unicredit Group in Germany in 2000, eventually leading the project finance team of the Spanish branch. For more than 10 years, he worked in lending, arranging and financial advisory, gaining extensive expertise in financing infrastructure projects and renewable energy.

In 2010, Muñoz Osuna switched to the borrower side and focussed on the photovoltaic sector. He founded and led structured finance and M&A teams at leading international players in Madrid and Berlin such as Sun Edison and Hanwha Q Cells. For the last 7 years he was Head of Project Finance and PPA at Ib Vogt.
