56 MW from Croatia: Nordex Group receives order for N163/6.X turbines

Hamburg, Germany - Encro d.o.o, the largest Croatian wind farm developer and operator, and Adris Grupa, a leading independent investment company in Croatia, have ordered eight N163/6.X turbines of the Delta4000 series from wind turbine manufacturer Nordex.

The wind turbines with a total capacity of 56 MW are intended for the "Visoka" wind farm, which is located near the town of Sinj north-east of Split. In addition to the delivery and installation of the turbines, the contract also includes premium service for the turbines over a period of 30 years.

The delivery and construction of the plants is planned for autumn 2024, with commissioning scheduled for the end of 2024.

"We are very pleased to get this order and are looking forward to working together with ENCRO and Adris Grupa in the future. This is a further important step for Nordex in Croatia, and we are proud of our contribution to the energy turnaround in the region," says Nordex Chief Sales Officer Patxi Landa. "Thanks to the close collaboration with our partner Adris Grupa we look forward to building upon our first joint PV and Wind investments in Croatia with a combined connected capacity of 122.3 MW and an installed capacity of 141.8 MW," adds Branimir Ivković, Head of Business Development Wind at Encro.

For Adris Grupa, which operates in the tourism, food and insurance sectors, the "Visoka" wind farm is its first involvement in the energy sector. Encro has so far developed green energy projects in Croatia with a capacity of 141 MW, which are already in operation. Further projects with 164 MW are under construction and the company has a pipeline of 1,000 MW.

Since 2019, the Nordex Group has seen a continuous increase in demand from Croatia. As of today, Nordex has sold or installed a total of 154 turbines, primarily in the 3-, 4- and 5-MW class, totalling 635 MW in the country and claims to be the market leader. In 2024, the N163/6.X turbines in "Visoka" will be the company's most powerful turbines in the Mediterranean country.

"Visoka" is the first order for N163/6.X turbines from Croatia. Since the market launch of the N163/6.X turbine type with a flexible rating around two years ago, the Nordex Group has sold N163/6.X turbines totalling over 3,000 MW worldwide.

The Nordex share has shown little momentum so far this morning. The RENIXX Group's shares are currently trading up 0.3 per cent at EUR 10.565 (10:45 a.m., 21 November 2023, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
