Nordex Stock Climbs: Nordex Receives Major Wind Turbine Order From Turkey

Hamburg, Germany - The wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received a total of five orders from the Turkish company Akfen Renewable Energy Inc.

Nordex will supply and install a total of 19 turbines from the Delta4000 series with a total capacity of 102 MW for the expansion of five existing wind farms from fall 2025, the company announced. The Nordex share price peaked at EUR 14.10 in early trading.

The expansion of the Hasanoba and Kocalar wind farms in north-western Turkey will involve five N149/5.X turbines each. In addition, Akfen has ordered a total of nine N133/4800 turbines for the Denizli wind farm in western Turkey, Sarıtepe in the south and Üçpınar in the northwest of the country.

“Akfen Renewable Energy choosing to work with us for the first time on five projects to increase the capacity of their existing wind farms is a clear sign of their trust in us. Additionally, there is great technical compatibility between the wind conditions on site and the various turbine types that have been chosen for these projects. It is our advantage of having flexible and high-efficient turbines within our product range that can cater to almost any wind and geographical conditions,” says Ender Özatay, Vice President Region Türkiye and Middle East of the Nordex Group.

Nordex will install the wind turbines on tubular steel towers with hub heights of between 83 and 125 meters. The rotor blades for the wind turbines will be produced in Turkey.
