Nordex 5 MW Class: Nordex Group Receives 71 MW Wind Turbine Order from Portugal

Hamburg (Germany) - The Nordex Group has received a new order from Portugal. The company will supply and install 12 wind turbines of the 5 MW class (N163/5.X). The total capacity of the turbines is 70.8 MW.

Additionally, the contract includes a premium service agreement for maintenance over a period of 35 years. Despite the announcement, the Nordex share did not benefit in yesterday’s trading, closing at € 21.24.

The delivery of the turbines is scheduled for mid-2026. Nordex has not disclosed any information about the customer or the wind farm location.

With this order, the Nordex Group is further strengthening its market position in Portugal. To date, the company has sold and installed turbines there with a total capacity of over 550 MW. This includes an order from April 2025 for two turbines of the N175/6.X type – the first of this new model in Portugal.

Throughout its history, the Nordex Group has installed approximately 57 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets. In 2024, the company generated consolidated sales of around €7.3 billion and currently employs more than 10,400 people.
