New Leadership Team Drives International Strategy: Deutsche Windtechnik Strengthens Offshore Business with New CEO Achim Berge Olsen

Bremen (Germany) - Deutsche Windtechnik has reorganized the leadership of its offshore unit: Achim Berge Olsen has taken over as CEO since October 1, 2025. The previous offshore CEO, Jens Landwehr, moves into the newly created dual role of CFO/CTO.

With the new leadership structure, Deutsche Windtechnik aims to further expand its international offshore presence and secure the company’s operational efficiency as well as financial strength. The leadership team is supported by Marcel Meins as COO.

Achim Berge Olsen brings over 20 years of experience in the offshore wind industry. Previously, he served as Managing Director of Wpd Offshore GmbH, Board Member of Wpd AG, as well as CEO and advisor at Skyborn Renewables. “In my new role as Offshore CEO, my aim is to strategically develop the company through new products and partnerships, securing and increasing growth over the long term”, said Berge Olsen.

Jens Landwehr added: “With Achim Berge Olsen, we have appointed an outstanding leader to the role of CEO. In my new role as CFO/CTO, I will focus on further developing the financial strategy and driving growth potential in technical and operational areas.”

Deutsche Windtechnik AG, headquartered in Bremen, employs 2,500 people worldwide and services over 7,800 wind turbines, both onshore and offshore. The offshore unit offers comprehensive services for the construction, operation, and maintenance of offshore wind farms.
