Nordex Wins Additional Order from Germany: Nordex to Supply Turbines for Community Wind Farm in North Frisia – Shares Slightly Down

Hamburg (Germany) - Nordex has secured another order from Germany. For the Bosbüll Holm Uphusum (BHU) community wind farm in the district of North Frisia, the Hamburg-based turbine manufacturer, listed in the renewable energy index RENIXX World, will deliver eight N163/6.X wind turbines with a total capacity of 56 MW. The client is Bürgerwindpark BHU Betriebs GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bosbüll.

The turbines will be installed on 118-meter-high steel towers and operated in the high-performance 7-MW mode, making optimal use of the region’s strong wind conditions. Installation is scheduled for early 2027, with full commissioning expected by autumn of the same year. The delivery package also includes a long-term service agreement.

The project is designed as a community wind farm and follows nearly 15 years of planning. “In the future, around 400 limited partners will be involved in the Bosbüll Holm Uphusum (BHU) community wind farm,” emphasizes John-Heinrich Ingwersen, Managing Director of Bürgerwindpark BHU.

Schleswig-Holstein is considered a pioneer in community wind farms. Especially in North Frisia, such projects have been established for decades: citizens invest together, make transparent decisions, and benefit directly. This approach promotes acceptance and generates tax revenues as well as investments in local community projects.

Nordex also highlights the importance of such initiatives. Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central of the Nordex Group, says: “Community wind projects are a cornerstone of the energy transition in Germany.” The wind farm will not only generate climate-friendly electricity but also strengthen regional value creation.

Nordex shares were slightly down in the morning, currently trading at €33.38, down 1.13% (12:16 p.m., February 5, 2026, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
