Aarhus – Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has announced new orders totaling 183 MW in Germany and the United Kingdom within the space of a few days. The orders form part of the company's Q2 order intake.

In Germany, the largest individual order covers the supply of turbines for the 64 MW community wind energy project Wehrder. Seven turbines of the V150-6.0 MW type and three V162-7.2 MW turbines will be deployed. Delivery and commissioning are planned for 2027. A further German order for 24 MW, comprising four V150-6.0 MW turbines, has been placed by an undisclosed customer. In addition, the 50 MW project "Erweiterung Ostermoor Nord" for Raiffeisen Windpark Saterland GmbH will be equipped with seven V162-7.2 MW turbines; commissioning is scheduled for Q2 2028.

In the United Kingdom, an undisclosed customer has ordered ten turbines of the V136-4.5 MW type with a combined capacity of 45 MW. Commissioning is planned for Q4 2027.

All four projects include 20-year service agreements (AOM 4000 and AOM 5000 respectively).

Vestas shares, which are listed in the renewable energy stock index RENIXX World, are down 0.7% to EUR 24.07 as of early afternoon. Compared to the share price at the turn of the year, the stock is thus up by just under 7%.
