Order Boost in Germany: Nordex Secures Orders from Enova, BMR and Continental – Shares Gain
Hamburg — Nordex Group reported strong order intake from its German home market at the end of the second quarter. Wind energy company Enova, its partner BMR Energy Solutions, and tire manufacturer Continental placed several new orders with the Hamburg-based turbine maker in late June, totaling more than 217 MW.
Four Projects for Enova and BMR
In Boldecker Land, Lower Saxony, Enova will replace ten existing turbines with ten Nordex N163/6.X turbines totaling 68 MW as part of a repowering project. Construction starts in the fourth quarter of 2027, with commissioning in early 2028.
For a wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein, Nordex will supply six N149/5.X turbines with 34.2 MW. Construction is planned for early 2028, with commissioning by mid-2028. Two further projects are underway in North Rhine-Westphalia. For the Nettetal project, originally developed by BMR and later sold to Enova, Nordex will supply five N163/6.X turbines, with construction starting in October 2027 and commissioning in early 2028.
At the Breberen repowering project, backed jointly by Enova and BMR, nine existing turbines will be replaced with more powerful N163/6.X units. Construction also begins in October 2027, with commissioning planned for the second quarter of 2028.
All four contracts include 20-year Premium service agreements.
Direct Power Supply for Continental in Korbach
For the Twistenberg wind farm in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district of northern Hesse, Nordex will supply and install three N175/6.X turbines with a hub height of 179 meters. A key feature of the project is the direct supply of the generated power to a large industrial off-taker: Continental will own and operate the wind farm.
According to the company, the 20 MW wind farm is expected to generate around 55 GWh annually and, together with existing solar installations, cover about two-thirds of the power demand of Continental's plant roughly eight kilometers away. The order also includes a 20-year full-service agreement. The project was developed by Verbands-Energie-Werk Gesellschaft für Erneuerbare Energien (VEW), a subsidiary of regional utility Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg GmbH (EWF), which has municipal roots in Hesse. Civil works are scheduled to begin in 2026, with commissioning around a year and a half later.
Nordex Expands Partnerships
The Enova orders add to the company's portfolio growth. According to the company, Enova currently operates around 1 GW of onshore wind capacity, making it one of Germany's largest onshore wind operators, and aims to grow to 3 GW by the end of 2030. BMR Energy Solutions, based in Geilenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, is a project developer active mainly in western Germany and originally developed the Nettetal and Breberen projects.
"We have built a long-standing and trusting relationship with BMR, which we have successfully developed further through numerous projects. We are therefore all the more pleased to now also implement more joint projects with ENOVA again and to further expand our business relationship. The fact that both partners are relying on our technology and service expertise for these projects is a strong sign of confidence for us," said Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central at Nordex Group, commenting on the Enova and BMR orders.
Hendrik Böschen, Chief Operations Officer of Enova, added: "These projects mark the next milestone in the development of our wind farm portfolio. Together with Nordex and BMR energy solutions, we are bringing demanding projects into implementation in a cooperative, efficient and fast manner. The fact that we are driving several projects of this scale forward in parallel underscores ENOVA’s operational strength and scalability in the German wind energy market."
“Especially in low mountain regions, our N175/6.X demonstrates its strength with high hub heights of 179 metres: high yields combined with efficient turbine operation. In combination with direct industrial power use, this creates an overall concept that is compelling both economically and in terms of climate policy“, Brüggemann added, commenting on the Continental project.
Nordex Shares Gain
Nordex shares, listed on the RENIXX World renewable energy stock index, were trading at EUR 46.66 as of 1:48 p.m. on July 3, 2026, on the Stuttgart exchange — up 6.2 percent from the previous week's close.
